Happy Birthday Reese

March 12, 2009 I got up around 3:30am and got ready to go to the hospital. We were at Methodist by 6am. The nurses took us to our room and I changed into a gown. They put the baby monitor around my belly and we could hear Reese's strong heartbeat. My mom, dad, and brother showed up a little later and then Kristi. They asked me all sorts of questions and then took us to the operating room. After they gave me the epidural they brought TJ in and got started right away. I didn't even know they'd begun. At 8:53am Reese Ann McMahon was born. She weighed 7 POUNDS AND 13 OUNCES!!!!!!! If Iwere pregnant for a few more weeks she probably would have been a 9 pound baby! SOOO, TJ was right, he guessed correctly with her weight...I was wrong. We were all very shocked at how big she was!

We came home Sunday afternoon around twelve. My mom was here to greet us and has been here the whole time. She's leaving next Wed. TJ goes back to work on Monday and I didn't want to be alone...not yet!

Reese is such a good baby. She cries when she's hungry and that's about it. Everyone has been very impressed by her. She's sleeping a lot but the past few days she's been up during the day for about an hour...which is great b/c she'll sleep longer at night when she's up during the day.

I love her so much. She's sooo beautiful. I love holding her and kissing her. TJ is such a great dad. He helps me with everything. I'm so blessed to have him. Today my mom and I are going to do a little shopping while Reese stays with her daddy. Tomorrow afternoon Jessica and Randi will be here. Jessica's flight from California will be here at 1pm so she'll probably get here at 2. I'm sooo excited.

I feel great, I'm really happy that God gave me this baby. It's not what I expected...it's more.
