Yesterday was really busy for all three of us. We got up early and went to Dr. Held's office...my postpartum appt. After we finished up with Dr. Held we had to go down stairs at Methodist and get Reese her second PKU shot. This is were they prick her heel and draw blood then they place a certain amount of blood on six different circles on this piece of paper. She cried so hard and so did I. I knew it hurt her but she calmed down after I held her for a while. The lady in the elevator telling me her feet were cold didn't help! After leaving Methodist we went downtown to have her put on our insurance and then we went and ate lunch at Gringos. She was such a good baby...she is such a good baby. We were gone almost all day and were exhausted by the time we got home. Today I'm going to run some quick errands...well, maybe...I keep telling myself to go then I think of some reason why I should just stay here!
Reese seems to enjoy sitting outside with TJ and I. The weather has been so perfect. I know soon enough it will be too hot to take her outside. She just sits in her bouncey seat and looks around. We stare at her and talk, stare some more...she's better than TV.
Last week when my dad came to get my mom he brought my mamaw so she could meet Reese. Four generations together...very neat. I was so glad my mom stayed as long as she did. She was here for 2 weeks. I wish she were still here. Thank you Honey for staying, helping, cooking, cleaning, and staying up with Reese until 2am. I love you.

oh Lord that PKU thing sucks. Its been long enough I can't remember if you have to have it done again. BUT if you do ask for the foot warmer a few minutes prior to her foot stick. It's like those little warmers you stick in your pocket when you go skiing. The warmer the foot the faster the blood flow and it doesn't take as long and they don't have to squeeze as hard.
Ps. she is BEAUTIFUL!!!
